NO WAR - rejects war, all wars

Elsa Morante the dedication "to the only result is that now might be able to hear the word of the poets"

Article 11
Italy repudiates war as an instrument of aggression against the freedom of other peoples and as a means of settling international disputes allows, on an equal footing with other states, to the limitations of sovereignty necessary for an order that ensures peace and justice between nations, promotes and encourages international organizations having such ends.

The founding fathers were enlightened and wise when they wrote Article 11 provides that, like many others, prestige to our Constitution. They wrote inspired and strengthened by a consciousness shaped also by a common tragedy of the Second World War and its long and terrible consequences of paying with the blood of too many lives.
That tragedy had them, of course, deeply involved, was forever marked their personal lives but also those of the peoples drawn into the conflict.
Far, indeed, from its a book of wishes, they wrote, giving voice and soul even to those of our dead (the dead are always all) who warn us again.
Reading the Article 11 does not only listen to so good and honest voices of teachers of life, but instead we hear the voice of innocent people who have paid or who has experienced what it means to the despair of war.
But we're not listening to them.
But to oppose the war is necessary.
The reasons of those who wanted the attack on Libya are many, but the war is avoided trying to prevail with the same number, more or less strong reasons.
War, as we have been taught the fathers of the Italian Constitution, should be avoided divorce, or for rejecting a principle that is the bulwark of civilization.
We must avoid it and find the means to do so. We should be realizing the deception hidden behind the false solution entered the war.
We know that the senseless slaughter, does not solve international disputes, but extends them, and that upsets equilibrium imperfect, but it creates others that did not pacify the losers and the winners will not escape any for revenge.
We know that there will be people in engaging in war and that our children (including children of all we hear) may be one of the executioners as among the victims. Why accept this?
We know that you decide to start a conflict to the table, but that closes (even if it is closed) by counting the dead.
Why must we suffer once again the logic of interest, intolerance, injustice, racism, massacre and not to implement diplomatic channels?
Why deny the voice of our Constitution?
But if reason is not heard try to listen to the voice of the victims, a voice that speaks to the heart. O but many people no longer have the heart?
Instead, we have it.
